DIY Installation Steps for Pro Gutter Guard on Tile Roofing

  • Step 1. Fix mesh to the gutter with a screw and roll out for 1.5 metres

  • Step 2. Remove screw and fix the first trim to the gutter with self drilling screws and then roll out mesh a few metres and continue to fit trims

  • Step 3. Make a U shaped cut, down to the edge of approximately the second last tile in the row, repeat for the other end of the row.

  • Step 4. Trim the top of the mesh so it sits roughly 50mm above the second row of tiles.

  • Step 5. Gently fold the mesh up without creasing it, so that the top of the mesh lies flush against the front of the tiles.

  • Step 6. Using a chisel or large flathead screwdriver, gently lift the tiles and feed the mesh under the tiles, working clockwise around the house.

  • Step 7. Tuck all the way along the row until you get to the U shaped cut you made earlier. Leave the last section un-tucked.

  • Step 8. Cut the mesh around the corner tile, taking care to push it down flush with the edge of the hip.

  • Step 9. Finish by sealing off the corner with a bead of silicon.
